About Megan

MEGAN CONNORS FLORAL and STYLING serves brides and hosts for any celebration, using love to translate dreams into realities, and execute flawlessly for an event remembered as much for its beauty, as for its ease in every step- from planning to clean up.

Megan Connors is a floral designer and event stylist, based in Knoxville, TN. Her botanically focused floral design company creates elegant, exquisite, fresh-from-the-garden arrangements using local materials representing the seasonal culture in Tennessee.

As a designer, she creates evocative designs of flowers, foliage, and branches for weddings and events, often gathering materials from the surrounding landscape.

Marrying her passion for flowers with a brain for strategy and creative design, her events brim with floral beauty at every turn-- arbors, ceiling draping, garlands, tablescapes, hair pieces, boutonnieres, and bouquets—and each element is unique, natural, simply elegant, and with just a touch of whimsy.

Gardens Megan has managed for over a decade have been featured in the Knoxville City View Magazine and in multiple issues of Southern Living Magazine. Blog features include: Bridal Musings, Borrowed and Blue, Weddings Unveiled, Burnett's Board, The Learned Bride, The Trendy Bride, and The Bride Link.

Services range from Garden Consultation, Seasonal Decorating to Weddings, Large Scale Installation and Magazine Styling. More here.

Above all, Megan loves and respects flowers, and understands their transformative powers. Her decade of Horticulture, Aboriculture,  and Garden Consulting trained her hand and eye to capture the natural growing habits of the raw materials she sources translating a truly organic styling and design perspective.

{How I got started.}

In May 2011, while still working as a Horticulturalist and Arborist in Knoxville, TN, my dear friend asked me to do the flowers at her backyard wedding on a picturesque plot of land in Wears Valley, TN.  Flowers are my passion and I knew that this moment would shift my reality from what had been a dream, to what was to be my true passion- creative floral styling and event design.  The design included pieces that were natural, elemental, tasteful, and deeply rooted to the surroundings.  And Beauty by Megan was born.

Over the next four years, I continued developing this new desire and passion for floral design while continuing to nourish my client's gardens and client relationships. During this time, I had the opportunity to study under a dear friend, and owner of Claypots Floral Events.  This mentorship offered an invaluable reveal of the innerworkings of the industry.

At the end of 2014, I rebranded and took a leap of faith into my calling, Megan Connors Floral & Styling. While my feet never truly left the gardens, in 2017 I reemerged  as a Garden Consultant with a design focus in preservation and restoration.  The integration of my love for the landscape, and floral design for special events fuel not only my visionary design concepts, but nourish my soul.
