About
Hi, I’m Megan Connors, founder of Megan Connors Gardens & Design in Knoxville, Tennessee. My work blends horticultural expertise with an intuitive, soulful approach to landscape care. I specialize in structural pruning, detail-oriented maintenance, and garden restoration, always balancing aesthetics with the long-term vitality of each space.
With a B.S. in Agriculture and Natural Resources from Berea College and certification as an ISA Arborist, I bring a deep understanding of plant health to every project. In 2007, I began my career at Shady Grove Landscapes, where I spent eight years refining my craft while running my floral design business—a creative venture that taught me the importance of detail, rhythm, and thoughtful curation for a balanced design. I began garden consulting and property management in 2015.
In 2022, I built a dedicated crew, and our client base quickly grew. That growth felt nothing short of divinely guided. I often tell my team, “It doesn’t just look better—it feels better.” As a Reiki Master, I’ve come to sense how gardens respond when cared for with intention.
I see every garden as an extension of home—a living, breathing reflection of those who tend it. Through thoughtful pruning and design, we create outdoor spaces that feel lighter, more balanced, and deeply alive.
Meet the Crew
Jacob Line - Crew Lead
This June marks three years with our team, and in that time Jacob has become one of the quiet engines that keeps our work running sharp. Alongside his fieldwork, he creates our digital design layouts—bringing an artist’s eye to every property and taking real pride in details, especially those clean, perfectly sheared boxwood he’s known for.
He’s also the guy who lifts the mood just by walking in, the steady source of good energy you can count on when the day gets long. With a Cinema Studies degree and a deep love of film, Jacob can turn any break into a full-blown movie discussion—if you’re brave enough to enter the chat.
Noah Nelson - Crew Lead
With ten years of experience and two years on our crew, Noah is the quiet force who leads by example. A UT English grad with a work ethic carved from stone, we lovingly call Noah our “truck boss” and master of machines—tackling even the toughest projects with steady ease.
But he’s also the spark that keeps us smiling. Our resident funny man, he carries a childlike warmth that lifts the whole team. Always helpful, always dependable, Noah is the kind of all-around solid guy every crew hopes to have.
Let’s Connect :)
We’d love to hear how we might bring a little garden magic into your space! We look forward to connecting.
