About Megan

Floral Design & Event Styling

Megan Connors is a floral designer, event stylist, certified arborist, and horticulturist based in Knoxville, TN. Specializing in ceiling draping, living jewelry, floral crowns, pet collars, and bouquets, each element is unique, organic, and elegant with just a touch of whimsy. Her botanically-focused design company creates fresh-from-the-garden arrangements using locally-sourced and seasonal materials.

More than a decade of Horticulture, Aboriculture, Estate Management, and Garden Consulting trained her to capture the natural growing habits of plant materials. As a designer, she creates evocative, organic designs by mixing flowers, foliage, herbs, vegetables, and branches. Megan is known for mixing local field cuttings with internationally-sourced products and even fabricating arbors and ceiling hangings to create genuinely one-of-a-kind artistry.

Biography

While working as a Horticulturalist and Arborist in Knoxville, TN, a dear friend asked Megan to source and design flowers for her wedding in picturesque Wears Valley. That opportunity shifted her focus to floral design and event styling. Over the next four years, she seized every opportunity and learned as much as possible about floral design through her mentor, dear friend, and owner of Claypots Floral Events.

Megan still loves to get her hands dirty, and continues to manage award-winning and historic estate gardens, consult on plant preservation and restoration, and is a practicing arborist and horticulturist. The integration of her love for landscapes, flowers, and her creativity fuel her design concepts.

Megan manages gardens featured in Knoxville City View Magazine and Southern Living Magazine. Her floral and event designs have been featured in Bridal Musings, Borrowed and Blue, Weddings Unveiled, Burnett's Board, The Learned Bride, The Trendy Bride, and The Bride Link.
